KMITL-DICE WORKSHOP:
“Foundations of 3D Design for Art Toys”
As art toys drive the creative economy, I led this workshop to bridge the gap between digital imagination and physical reality. We started in ZBrush, mastering the 3D fundamentals needed to translate sketches into detailed character sculpts ready for production.
Students then gained hands-on experience with the full SLA & FDM 3D printing workflow—from file prep to post-processing. By turning ideas into tangible prototypes, they learned to leverage modern design tools for real-world opportunities in today’s market.
Special thanks to A. Pat Pattarapongmanee and A. Dinsor Michaels (Director of DICE) for arranging and supporting this session. Seeing the students bring their unique visions to life was truly inspiring!
